REQUEST A SPEAKER
We would love to come and share our story with your small group, church, or organization.
We can also engage with youth and parents with our new curriculum, You Decide: Building Safe Choices in a Digital World. *May require speaker fees.
We also provide, training and a Survivor or Mother of Survivor Testimony. *Survivor Speaker will require fees. Mother Speaker accepts honorariums towards the ministry.
More Ways to Get Involved
Be Proactive
Pray. Become a prayer partner.
Educate Yourself. Review information on human trafficking to learn more and get connected.
Stay Alert. Know the red flags. If you think you see evidence of human trafficking, contact local law enforcement or the National Trafficking Hotline 1-888-3737-888.
Talk About it With Everyone. Many people in the U.S. are not aware this is happening in their own back yard. Share with your family, friends, church family, schoolmates, and colleagues.
Host an Awareness Event. You can integrate some sort of awareness activity during birthday parties, benefit concerts, direct-sales home parties, a mixer, or Sunday School classes for example.
Write to a Government Official. Contact your state governor, legislators, and attorney general. Let them know you support tough legislature against perpetrators; more funding for victim services; and zero tolerance for human trafficking!
Support Fair Trade Initiatives. Fair Trade = No Slavery! Look at labels to ensure no labor trafficking occurred!
Support Survivor-Owned Businesses. As these men and women leave the industry to follow their dreams, they need support and encouragement.
Employ a Survivor. Coming out of the sex industry and into mainstream corporate America can be challenging. Resume and job history, judgmental attitudes, PTSD or substance abuse are a few of the issues. Are you willing to extend grace and take a chance?
Volunteer Criteria
Volunteer Qualifications and Expectations
Changing Destinies Ministry seeks volunteers who are called to serve with Christ-centered hearts, integrity, compassion, and a commitment to our mission of bringing hope, healing, and restoration to survivors.
Volunteers are expected to:
Faith and Christian Commitment
• Profess faith in Jesus Christ and strive to live according to biblical principles. • Demonstrate a Christian worldview and lifestyle that reflects Christ's love, grace, humility, and integrity.
• Support and uphold the mission, vision, Statement of Faith, and Core Values of Changing Destinies Ministry.
• Seek God's wisdom through prayer and remain open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in their service.
Character and Personal Responsibility
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity, emotional maturity, and respect in all relationships.
• Live a lifestyle that reflects Christian values, including maintaining appropriate moral and ethical conduct.
• Be dependable, accountable, and faithful in fulfilling volunteer commitments.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries, confidentiality, and professionalism while serving.
Commitment to the Ministry
• Have a genuine desire to actively participate in the ministry and support its mission.
• Complete all required onboarding, training, and position-specific requirements.
• Communicate promptly regarding scheduling, availability, or concerns that may affect volunteer responsibilities.
• Pray regularly for the ministry, its residents, staff, volunteers, leadership, and those we serve.
• Promote the mission and objectives of Changing Destinies Ministry through words, actions, and Christ-like service.
• Believe that God is able to accomplish immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine and serve with faith, hope, and expectancy.
