IMMEDIATE NEEDS ***Leadership Positions Still Needed*** Seeking motivated and experienced people for the following positions:

  • Development and Fund-Raising Staff (Director: Kathy Newcomb)
    • Develop fundraising strategies and goals
    • Help to identify new potential donors and acquire sponsors
    • Maintain donor relationships
    • Plan, organize, and execute various fundraising programs and events
    • May assist in writing grant proposals
    • Collect items for shelter, silent auctions, etc.
  • Media Specialist and Public Relations Staff (Needed)
    • Plan, develop, and implement all of CDM’s marketing, communications, and public relations strategies, activities, materials and services, both external and internal
    • Direct marketing, communications, and public relations staff and coordinate at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of CDM
    • Organize and supervise community education/awareness activities, outreach, and community engagement with law enforcement, faith-based community partners, businesses, department of human services, and community-based agencies
  • Networking

ONGOING NEEDS  Administrative

  • Networking / Social Media: Seeking influencer who is energetic and knowledgeable about trends and networking through social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) (Needed)
  • Technical Support: Seeking someone who is creative and proficient with wordpress software and can maintain a professional website (Coordinator: Mary Ann Gerney of Oakland eMedia)
  • Trainer / Curriculum Development: For speaking engagements and training, we are looking to build a team of trainers and curriculum developers (Coordinator: Position OPEN). Should be able to:
    • Formulate teaching outline and determine instructional methods, such as group instruction, lectures, conferences, meetings and workshops
    • Select or develop teaching aids, such as training handbooks / modules, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works
    • Conduct training sessions that cover specified areas.

FUTURE STAFFING NEEDS (When Shelter Opens) General

  • Administration / Human Resources and Finance Director: This multifaceted position requires organizational and computer skills:
    • Manage financial, administrative and logistical resources to include light bookkeeping and paperwork, filing, and data entry (to be determined)

Rachel's Refuge Shelter

  • Shelter Program Director
    • Oversee shelter services and appropriate supportive housing for female trafficking survivors over 18 years old
    • Work with Case Management Coordinator to develop programs and resources and formulate case plans that promote healing, wholeness, and self- sufficiency
    • Ensure the safety of all residents by implementing, monitoring and enforcing the rules and regulations of communal living.
  • Case Management Coordinator
    • Working with Shelter Program Director to manage clients' care by:
      • Assessing treatment needs
      • Developing, monitoring, and evaluating treatment plans and progress
      • Facilitating interdisciplinary approaches
      • Monitoring staff performance.
  • Shelter Live-in Parent(s)
    • Provide a calm, nurturing, open-minded, non-judgmental presence in the home after hours
    • Must demonstrate ability to utilize a Christ-like approach to situations that may arise in the home and able to provide godly wisdom, boundaries, and structure.
  • Grounds / General Maintenance
    • Able to perform semi-skilled work in maintaining the grounds and landscapes
    • Perform maintenance on equipment and tools; Make minor repairs (within demonstrated capability) as directed
    • Ideally, qualified Shelter Live-in Parent(s) can take on dual roles of maintaining grounds and managing home after hours
